Our story
Most of the internet was built for the already-connected. Onyina Group exists to build for everyone else, starting with the market we know best.
The name
Onyina is the Akan word for the silk-cotton tree, the tallest tree in the West African forest. Its roots are deep enough to anchor the ground around it, and its canopy is wide enough to shelter everything growing beneath it.
That is the kind of company we want to be: grounded where we start, and useful to everything that grows around us.
What we do
Onyina Group is a technology holding company. We build and back software for what we call the global majority, the billions of people the world's biggest tech companies treat as an afterthought.
Where we started
SabiDoc is our first company, and it is live. It connects patients across Ghana to verified doctors, because getting care should not require already knowing the right person. "Sabi" means to know, to understand.
How we build
We build from the inside. Software for this region should not be imported and adapted. It should be made by people who have lived the problem, not studied it from a deck.
More will grow here. This is just the beginning.
